About the SSF: The Steven Spring Foundation (SSF), a
501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, was established in 2005 to aid the survivors
of Hurricane Katrina. The SSF provides practical recovery assistance by
supplying donated instruments and by offering free music lessons and programs for
the musicians, music students and children of New Orleans. By helping musicians
at all skill levels regain their ability to express themselves, the SSF facilitates
the healing process both for the musicians themselves and for the appreciative audiences
who can once more find comfort, joy and peace in the music as well.

Hi,
If you're a musician or music student who's been affected by Hurricane Katrina the Steven Spring Foundation has donated instruments to distribute. They also offer free music lessons to New Orleans students and they're just finishing up a free 6-week summer music program for Orleans Parish kids. And they can do piano moving, tuning and repair in the greater New Orleans area as well.
