About the SSF: The Steven Spring Foundation (SSF), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, was established in 2005 to aid the survivors of Hurricane Katrina. The SSF provides practical recovery assistance by supplying donated instruments and by offering free music lessons and programs for the musicians, music students and children of New Orleans. By helping musicians at all skill levels regain their ability to express themselves, the SSF facilitates the healing process both for the musicians themselves and for the appreciative audiences who can once more find comfort, joy and peace in the music as well.
